Rocky Taylor Wants You to Remember a Charity in your Will

No one understands the importance of a will more than a stuntman. Rocky Taylor will put his life on the line not only for Remember A Charity but also in order to leave his own lasting legacy.

Remember A Charity is sponsoring an aging stuntman named Rocky Taylor to perform a series of stunts to remind people of the importance of leaving a gift to charity.

At 64 Rocky is at a similar age to many people who write their will, and with his death defying job he’s a credible and charismatic face to talk about death, the importance of looking after your loved ones and what you care about when you’re gone, and deliver this important message in an entertaining way.

Remember SSJ in your Will

At SSJ, we understand that who you choose to remember in your Will is a very private matter. Many people will want to make sure that their family and friends are provided for first. But when you have done this, you may also like to consider leaving a legacy which will improve the lives of homeless and vulnerable people in Southampton and the surrounding area for years to come.

For many people, leaving a gift to a charity will be a natural extension of the support they have shown during their lifetime. Legacies are so important to us, because with these special gifts our charity will be able to continue providing the best possible support to Southampton’s range of homeless and vulnerable people in the future.

Legacy donations give us a wonderful opportunity to improve our services and set up new projects that we simply cannot fund any other way. A legacy might allow us to transform some of the rooms at our hostels. Or we could use it to give our residents the chance to enjoy sports sessions, art classes, day trips and other activities which so many of us may take for granted. Whatever it is used for, you can be confident that your legacy will make a real and enduring difference.

If you feel that you would like to support SSJ in this way, we would advise that you contact your solicitor who will be able to give you guidance and advice. There is no specific wording that we require – however, you should include our charity number: 1043664.

If you have any questions about supporting SSJ’s work with a legacy or setting up a charity will, please do not hesitate to contact the fundraising department on  023 8063 2524
