Corporate Partnerships with SSJ

There are a number of different ways in which your organisation can help us support some of the people most vulnerable to homelessness in Hampshire.

Employee volunteering, getting involved in one of our larger fundraising events, such as the ABP Southampton or annual Sleep Out or selecting SSJ as your Charity of the Year, are all ways your company can get involved with a great local cause.

SSJ has a wide range of housing projects, and this means that there is usually always a house or garden in need of a makeover! If you are interested in helping us out in this way, we would love to hear from you.

You can read an inspiring blog here about the ‘Zurich Cares’ Team and the gardening challenge they undertook to transform one of our hostel gardens.

It’s great to do something where you can see the difference it’s making, and we know how much it helps out. It was really good fun into the bargain, despite the hard work! I’d definitely come and do it again!’ – DIY Volunteer

Holding your own fundraising event is a fun way to raise money for SSJ and an effective team building exercise. There are lots of ways your business can raise money for us such as holding a Friday Dress Down Day, organising a golf day where you can also entertain clients, or simply holding a cake sale.

Donating ‘gifts in kind’

Could your company donate products or specialist skill? Might you be able to offer your venue as a meeting place, do some pro bono work for us, donate old (but good quality) equipment or have a food collection ?

Sponsor a publication

Generating Annual Reports, newsletters and other publications pubs1is an essential part of our work, but it all has to be paid for.

Your company’s sponsorship of our publications would be a great cost saver for SSJ, while also providing marketing and PR opportunities for your brand in the local community.

Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving is a scheme that enables your employees to give to any UK charity straight from their gross salary (before tax is deducted), and to receive immediate tax relief of up to £4 for every £10 donated. This helps the makes your donations go further than normal giving and gives extra help to the charity. Find out more about Payroll Giving.
