ONE BIG Sleepout

What is it?
ONE BIG Sleepout is a homelessness fundraising and awareness event for Hampshire based charity, the Society of St James.

How does it work?
You sacrifice your bed for the night in exchange for sponsorship.
The funds you raise will help The Society of St James to continue to provide accommodation and support to the county’s most vulnerable adults.

What makes it ONE BIG Sleepout?
Many community groups will be organising their own Sleepout events under the umbrella of ONE BIG Sleepout, Hampshire.
With our event guide, registration system and combined sponsorship, we’re seeking to make this ONE BIG Sleepout by the fact that we’ll all be under the stars on the same night, raising funds and awareness for the same charity.

When will it happen?
Overnight on Friday 9 March 2012

Where will it happen?
At various locations throughout Hampshire; colleges, universities, scout huts, car parks … wherever organisers have
obtained the relevant permissions.

We’re thrilled to announce that Hampshire East Girl Guides have secured the Action Stations at the Historic Dockyard of Portsmouth, enabling 200 participants to sleepout in support of the Society of St James. Girls as young as 9 years old will be earning their ONE BIG Sleepout badge on the night, and aiming to raise £10 each in sponsorship.

There are spaces available at the Society of St James’ own sleepout at the Marlands in Southampton. If you fancy it, fill in  the contact form below:
