The Re-Fit programme is open to Adults in the Portsmouth area affected by issues such as substance use, homelessness, or with other care and support needs.
In partnership with Pompey in the Community, Re-Fit provides daily leisure activities – including, badminton, football, gym, table tennis, chess club and boxing/fitness sessions.
In addition to this we aim to create pathways into education, volunteering and employment, with NVQ Health & Social Care Levels 2 & 3 also being offered alongside other workplace training initiatives.
Taking part in regular exercise and group activities can significantly improve the quality of life of vulnerable people, with our service users noting significant improvements in their physical and mental health, self esteem and social interaction.
If you would like to get involved in sessions, please fill out the Re-Fit Referral Form or email firstname.lastname@example.org for further details.
“My battles are well documented, so sharing my experiences will encourage more people to access this great service and get much needed support. Asking for help was the scariest thing I’ve ever done in my life but also the best thing I’ve ever done”
– Alan Knight, ex-Pompey Goalkeeper & Club Ambassador
