The service was established at the beginning of 2008 in response to changes in the way that the SSJ’s housing services were contracted with Supporting People. The new contracts separated out the functions of housing related Support from Housing Management and it was felt that a single specialist team was necessary to ensure that SSJ acted consistently with the differing contracts and their requirements.
The main aims of the Housing Management Team are :-
- To undertake all housing management functions legally, fairly and safely
- To provide a cost effective housing management service for the Society
- To provide out-of-Hours Security to our services
Housing Management Team Core Tasks
The housing management team are responsible for the housing management for the tenants in all of SSJ’s properties. The core housing management duties include: Void Management, Tenancy Sign Up, Rent Management, Dealing with Maintenance Issues, Health and Safety, and Security.

You can now Text any non emergency issues to 60777 (24hr – 7 days a week) and start you text with the word “fix“

These can be maintenance issues or general housing related matters.
