Computer Testing at Jamie’s
Jamie’s Computers is the computer recycling social enterprise arm of The Society of St James – Hampshire Homelessness Charity.
Jamie’s Computers offers a free professional and secure IT disposal service to businesses and individuals. We refurbish donated computers and make them available for reuse whilst anything that cannot be reused is recycled.
Jamie’s offers learning and training opportunities to service users, and a progressive and dynamic environment designed to develop IT skills and confidence.
Jamie’s learners have access to –
- Internet ready computers kitted out with current software
- Bespoke learning plans that develop confidence and promote inclusion
- Opportunities to train on-the-job in our enterprising IT collection, refurbishment and sales operation
These activities are funded by a combination of grants and income generated by our commercial services.
All income is used to develop the service. Customers of Jamie’s commercial services not only reduce their impact on the environment, they also help contribute positively to the community in which we all live.
