Re-Cycle Bikes

Re-Cycle Bikes is a Southampton based bike recycling workshop set up to offer learning and training opportunities for the service users of the Society of St James and volunteers from the wider community in order to help grow and sustain the use of bicycles as transport.

Our Work

Trained volunteers recycle broken bikes into usable, safe, environmentally conscious transport!
We also carry out repairs for the public and sell parts.

Re-Cycle Bikes in Action

Bike Maintenance/Service from £15

It is important to maintain your bike with regular servicing so it can perform to its best at all times. Our service includes:

• Gears and Breaks check
• Chain checked and lubricated
• Wheels and Tyres inspecteded for wear
• full safety check

New parts will cost extra.

Once a month we hold Bike Doctor sessions on Saturdays, 12.30-2.30pm at Ropewalk Community Garden. Re-Cycle Bikes runs the second session each month.

Re-Cycle Bikes are available from £40-£70

We have a range of branded mountain and road bikes available – as our stock levels change on a daily basis,  please get in touch to find out about our latest stock.
