Avondale Specialist Care Home

Avondale Care Home

Support

Avondale offers a specialist care environment for people over the age of 50 who have severe alcohol dependency problems and/or mental health problems. Avondale allows individuals to continue to drink if they so wish, but this is managed through controlled drinking and money contracts, which ensure that the individual is not drinking to dangerous levels. This has resulted in a significant improvement in the quality of life and major improvements in the physical and mental health of our residents.

We offer a range of activities for clients and Avondale has excellent facilities, including a fully equipped modern kitchen, ample communal space and a beautiful rear garden with a sunny outlook, raised flower beds, a vegetable plot and several beautiful wooden decked seating areas.

Staffing

Avondale Specialist Care Home is staffed 24 hours per day by a team of dedicated, experienced Support and Care Workers who provide personal care, emotional support and companionship. Each resident has an individual care plan that identifies their specific needs and ensures that these are met safely and appropriately.
